My name is John Stevens
I spent the best part of thirty-five years teaching Chemistry to 11-19 year-olds but now am I a retired Chemistry teacher or a Writer? Both are true.
I tutor students 1:1 studying for GCSE Sciences and A-Level Chemistry so I haven’t completely disengaged from teaching but writing is making a bid to take over.
So far, I’ve written one book When the Rabbis Cry – a biblical look at the subject of Israel – and am currently writing an historical novel set in 1799. And on my Facebook page, you will find Friday’s Irregular Poetry Corner with poems of my own and others.
If I’m not writing or tutoring – or dealing with everyday chores – you might catch me running around Bristol Harbourside, doing a local ParkRun, walking in the Brecons, kayaking, or slumped happily in a coffee shop reading a book and eating a generous slice of cheesecake
